Pretax pre-provision income modestly beat expectations where net interest margin expanded, core fees grew and operating expenses were well-controlled, and while elevated payoffs weighed on loan growth, slower payoff activity and improved pipelines support stronger growth in the second half of 2025, the analyst tells investors in a research note.
