FTC readying possible antitrust lawsuit against Amazon, WSJ reports

The Federal Trade Commission is considering challenges to an array of practices by Amazon that it considers anticompetitive, people familiar with the matter tell The Wall Street Journal’s Dana Mattioli and Brent Kendall. The commission has been examining in recent years whether Amazon favors its own products over competitors’ on its platforms, how it treats outside sellers and the company’s Amazon Prime subscription bundling practices, but which aspects of the business the FTC would target in a potential Amazon lawsuit couldn’t be learned, the report said.
