Franco-Nevada has been advised by its partner First Quantum Minerals of the following updates in respect of the Cobre Panama mine: Formal discussions with the Government of Panama resumed on December 26. First Quantum’s subsidiary, Minera Panama, S.A., or MPSA, the operator of Cobre Panama, is in the process of responding to the Ministry of Commerce and Industries direction to MPSA to prepare a plan to put Cobre Panama on "care and maintenance". Currently, Cobre Panama’s operations have not been impacted. First Quantum and MPSA have taken steps under domestic legal proceedings in Panama and international arbitration as a precautionary measure.
