Eli Lilly was forced to tweet on Thursday night "We apologize to those who have been served a misleading message from a fake Lilly account. Our official Twitter account is @LillyPad" after a verified Twitter account posing as the pharmaceutical company announced in its own bogus tweet that "insulin is free now." The false tweet generated more than 1,500 retweets and stayed up for several hours before the account was locked by Twitter. A spokesperson for the company told IndyStar they were "aware of the fake account and in conversations with Twitter to address the matter." In Friday afternoon trading, shares of Eli Lilly are down $20.33, or 6%, to $348.39. Reference Link
