Cvent (CVT), a U.S. software provider that facilitates in-person and virtual meetings that is controlled by private equity firm Vista Equity Partners Management, has rejected a $3.9B, or $8 per share, acquisition offer from Blackstone (BX), people familiar with the matter told Reuters’ Milana Vinn. Blackstone is taking a break from the negotiations after Cvent, which was not exploring a sale when Blackstone approached it with an unsolicited offer, rejected the private equity firm’s offer as too low, the sources said.
