Credit Agricole is closing in on a deal to buy asset and wealth manager Degroof Petercam, Bloomberg’s Jan-Henrik Foerster and Alexandre Rajbhandari report, citing people familiar with the matter. Discussions are at an advanced stage and Degroof Petercam could fetch a value of more than EUR 1B, or $1.1B, in a transaction, the people said.
