On Tuesday, Reuters reported that Tesla (NASDAQ: TSLA) intends to keep the production capacity of its Shanghai plant at around 93% through the end of this year even after a recent upgrade of the plant.
The report cited unknown sources as saying that the reason for the reduction in production capacity was not known.
Tesla started the Shanghai plant in 2019 and according to the report, recently ramped up its weekly output by 30% to around 22,000 vehicles.
