Meta Platforms (META) has released its newest artificial intelligence (AI) model called “Muse Spark 1.1.”
Meta Platforms’ AI division, called Meta Superintelligence Labs, has launched Muse Spark 1.1, a new reasoning model that is designed to handle autonomous (agentic) workflows and has upgraded computer coding capabilities.
Along with the consumer version of the new AI model, Meta Platforms has opened the Muse architecture to outside developers for the very first time. With its new architecture, Muse Spark 1.1 can operate independent of human direction and break down large tasks and delegate them across AI subagents to reduce processing times and speed-up workflow completion.
Agentic AI refers to artificial intelligence systems that act autonomously to achieve pre-defined goals with minimal human supervision or interaction.

Meta’s AI Competition
Muse Spark 1.1 is being released as Meta races to compete in the global AI race against market leaders such as Anthropic and Google parent company Alphabet (GOOGL). Meta says that Muse Spark 1.1 offers superior coding abilities and can autonomously diagnose bugs and execute large-scale code migrations.
The release of Muse Spark 1.1 is the latest in a series of announcements from Meta. The company also announced that it is building a one-gigawatt data center in Canada that will cost the company $9 billion and take up to three years to complete. There are also reports that Meta, which is best known for its social media platforms such as Facebook and Instagram, is planning a new cloud computing business.
