“Learning to choose is hard. Learning to choose well is harder. And learning to choose well in a world of unlimited possibilities is harder still, perhaps too hard.”
― Barry Schwartz, The Paradox of Choice: Why More Is Less
How do you choose which stocks to invest in? Making informed decisions usually involves making comparisons. Yet, this can be challenging – especially when it comes to the stock market. There are thousands of different companies whose stocks you can buy, and huge amounts of available information about each one. Consider technical indicators, analyst consensus, price targets, dividend information, and more. It can be overwhelming.
A year ago we released our Stock Comparison tool. It enables you to easily compare up to 7 stocks at a time and see how they fair on key indicators, including our unique datasets.
Select the Stocks You Want to Compare
Of course, you may not know which stocks you want to compare. In which case, we’ve defined 8 popular categories for you to choose from.
Alternatively you can enter any company names or tickers into the search bar. Regardless of whether you select a category, or enter your own names, you can switch which companies appear in the results by clicking on the ‘x’ by the ticker name and entering any other into the search bar.
Let’s compare healthcare companies. The 7 names that are generating the most interest will appear in the results.
You can add up to 11 indicators to the results including media buzz, insider signal, best analyst consensus, and more.
You can see exactly how the stocks compare, including their Smart Score, our unique stock scoring system based on 8 unique market factors.
As with all our tables you can sort how the results appear in by clicking on the column name. You can add any stock to your Smart Portfolio by hovering your mouse over its name and clicking on the blue + that appears. Click on the stock name to go to Stock Price Target & Analyst Rating page.
You can compare stock performance, usually going back to 2017, using the chart. It gives you a clear overview of how the stocks have been performing and shows you their return over a period of time. Hover your mouse along the chart to see performance in any given week.
Now, Give it a Try!
Our Stock Comparison tool is an easy way to get a comprehensive stock comparison, that includes our valuable data sets, to help you make informed decisions.
We invite you to try it out, and of course, share your feedback with us.
