Tectonic Metals Inc. has initiated a multi-phase metallurgical testing program to explore the viability of low-cost heap leaching for gold extraction at their Flat Gold Project in Alaska, which could provide cost and environmental advantages. The testing, which is crucial for transforming the exploration project into a profitable mine, has already shown promising initial results with over 95% gold recovery. The company is focused on optimizing the process, which could significantly reduce operational costs related to crushing and grinding, the most energy-intensive aspects of mining.
