Sony Group Advances Stock Buyback Program

Sony Group (SONY) has released an update.

Sony Group Corporation reports a significant stock buyback initiative, repurchasing 3,761,200 shares for a total of 53.6 billion yen in July 2024, as detailed in their latest filing with the Kanto Finance Bureau. The buyback represents 23.72% of the maximum number of shares authorized for repurchase by the Board of Directors’ resolution. Additionally, Sony disposed of 61,800 shares due to exercise of stock acquisition rights, amounting to a total disposition of 672.8 million yen.
