D-Wave Quantum ( (QBTS) ) has shared an announcement.
On October 1, 2026, D-Wave Quantum launched a beta program for its gate-model quantum computing simulator, giving select commercial and research partners including BBVA, FirstQFM, Florida Atlantic University and Jülich Supercomputing Centre early access to error-aware programming tools. Built on dual-rail superconducting gate-model technology validated in recent Nature-published research, the simulator is accessed via D-Wave’s Leap cloud and Ocean SDK.
The move marks a key step in D-Wave’s gate-model roadmap and strengthens its role in tackling quantum error correction, a central hurdle to commercially useful gate-model systems. By pairing the simulator with planned development bundles and expert guidance, D-Wave is cultivating an ecosystem for fault-tolerant quantum applications in areas such as financial optimization, quantum machine learning and hardware-aware algorithm design.

Spark’s Take on QBTS Stock
According to Spark, TipRanks’ AI Analyst, QBTS is a Neutral.
QBTS scores in the middle primarily because financial performance remains the largest drag (large losses and ongoing cash burn), while technicals also show a weak trend with price below major moving averages. Offsetting factors include a more constructive earnings outlook supported by backlog/pipeline expansion and ongoing commercialization milestones, plus favorable corporate developments such as CHIPS Act funding—tempered by dilution/constraint risk and the lack of traditional valuation support due to continued losses.
