David Craik

David Craik is an Editor and financial writer at TipRanks. He writes news stories on U.S. public and private companies. He also writes sponsored content for a number of clients such as TradeStation and Defiance ETFs. He joined TipRanks in 2025. Prior to TipRanks David had written print and online news and feature content about equities, funds, trusts, ETFs and fixed income for over 20 years. The work for UK national newspapers including The Sunday Times, Guardian, Financial Times, Daily Express and Daily Mirror, covered the FTSE 100, 250 and AIM markets in London, as well as NYSE and NASDAQ-listed equities. His extensive professional experience, covering a wide range of business sectors from energy to retail and finance, has instilled strong analytical, problem solving and interpersonal skills. He enjoys playing and watching sport, running, reading and trying to write books and listening to music and podcasts in his spare time. He holds an MA in International Relations and Modern History from the University of St Andrews in Scotland and an MA in Creative Writing from Bath Spa University.
