Monday’s Pre-Market: Here’s What You Need to Know Before the Market Opens

U.S. stock futures were trending higher on Monday amid a spike in risk appetite boosted by the prospect of more fiscal stimulus in the United States. Senators are deliberating on a $1 trillion infrastructure spending plan.

Dow futures were up 0.55%, S&P futures were up 0.65%, and Nasdaq futures were up 0.63% at the time of writing.

Rada Electronic Industries Ltd. (RADA), Dorian LPG Ltd. (LPG), and Kaleido Biosciences Inc. (KLDO) are set to report their quarterly earnings before the market opens. Bogota Financial Corp. (BSBK), Medallion Financial Corp. (MFIN), and Continental Resources Inc. (CLR) will report after the market close.

Exicure Inc. (XCUR) was the most actively traded stock in the pre-market session, with 4.72 million shares exchanging hands at the time of writing. The increased market activity comes amid reports that the company has inked a strategic collaboration deal to research, develop, and commercialize novel Spherical Nucleic Acids as a potential treatment for Huntington’s disease and Angelman syndrome.

SharpLink Gaming (SBET) was the biggest mover in pre-market trading, jumping 94.87% at the time of writing. The rally comes just days after the company completed a merger with Mer Telemanagement Solutions Ltd. The combined company has already commenced trading on the NASDAQ following a 1-for-2 reverse stock split.

ECMOHO (MOHO) was one of the biggest losers in the pre-market, dropping 18.19% at the time of writing. The sell-off comes days after the integrated solutions provider in the health and wellness markets in China announced plans to offer American Depository Shares. The company intends to raise capital for general corporate purposes and working capital needs.

Square, Inc. (SQ) has reached an agreement that paves the way for it to acquire Afterpay Limited for $29 billion. The deal for the financial technology company is likely to close in the first quarter of 2022. The acquisition will allow the financial services and digital payments company to gain access to a valuable global ‘buy now pay later’ platform.

Li Auto (LI) has hit a new milestone on vehicle deliveries. The China-based EV Company crossed the 8,000 mark by delivering 8,589 Li ONEs in July, representing a 251.3% year-over-year increase. Since the beginning of the year, the company has delivered 38,743 cars.

Scotts Miracle-Gro Company (SMG) has announced a 6.5% increase in its quarterly cash dividend. The company will now pay a dividend of $0.66, up from an initial $0.62 a share. Its annual dividend stands at $2.64 a share, representing a 1.5% dividend yield.

Procter & Gamble Company (PG) delivered impressive fourth-quarter and full-year results, helped by an increase in shipment volumes, pricing, and positive mix. Net sales were up 7% year over year to $18.9 billion, beating consensus estimates of $18.32 billion. Diluted earnings were also up 6% year over year to $1.13 a share against the $1.09 expected by analysts.

Charter Communications (CHTR) shares jumped 4.24% after the company reported second-quarter financial results that came in above estimates. Revenues increased by 9.5% to $12.8 billion, better than the $12.61 billion that the Street expected. The company also reported earnings of $5.29 per share, better than the $4.78 per share expected by analysts.
