Quantum computing is entering a period of rapid market growth as companies invest in the technology. As investors look ahead to 2027, analysts see strong upside for several quantum computing stocks. Based on TipRanks data, D-Wave Quantum (QBTS), IonQ (IONQ), and Xanadu (XNDU) all have Strong Buy consensus ratings. Their average price targets imply 135.12%, 71.75%, and 540.31% upside, respectively.
According to a recent report from ResearchAndMarkets.com, the global quantum computing and technologies market is projected to grow from $1.47 billion in 2025 to $5.29 billion by 2030. The market is expected to benefit from wider use of quantum cloud services, AI applications, and fault-tolerant systems. This growth could create new opportunities for companies developing quantum hardware and software.
With the market set to expand, analysts see strong upside in these three quantum computing stocks.

IonQ (IONQ)
IonQ develops quantum systems based on trapped-ion technology. The company recently advanced to Stage C of DARPA’s Quantum Benchmarking Initiative, the final stage of the program. IonQ and DARPA signed an agreement with a potential value of up to $300 million to continue testing its approach to large-scale, fault-tolerant quantum computers.
The Stage C work will include independent testing of multiple generations of IonQ’s Superion systems through 2029. The company has also recently expanded its work with Nvidia (NVDA), Florida International University, and other partners as it develops its quantum systems.
Wall Street has a Strong Buy consensus rating on $IONQ stock. The average IonQ analyst price target of $71.00 implies 71.75% upside from current levels.

D-Wave Quantum (QBTS)
D-Wave Quantum develops quantum systems and cloud services for optimization problems. The company is also expanding into gate-model quantum computing.
On October 1, D-Wave launched a beta program for its gate-model quantum computing simulator. The program gives select customers early access to tools for error-aware programming and quantum application development. This supports D-Wave’s plans to expand beyond its quantum annealing systems.
D-Wave also finalized an agreement with the U.S. Department of Commerce in September for up to $100 million under the CHIPS and Science Act. The funding will support research into its superconducting annealing and gate-model technologies.
Overall, QBTS carries a Strong Buy consensus rating on TipRanks. The average D-Wave Quantum analyst price target of $35.79 suggests about 135.12% upside from current levels.

Xanadu Quantum Technologies (XNDU)
Xanadu Quantum Technologies develops photonic quantum computing systems. The company recently signed a multi-year partnership with GlobalFoundries to scale production of components for utility-scale quantum computers.
The partnership will focus on Xanadu’s single-photon detectors and silicon nitride photonics using GlobalFoundries’ 300 mm production line in New York. The companies expect the work to support Xanadu’s future fault-tolerant quantum systems. It could also help move the technology from lab prototypes toward industrial production.
Wall Street has a Strong Buy consensus rating on Xanadu stock. The average XNDU analyst price target is $28.75, implying 540.31% upside from the current levels.
