U.S., E.U. spent nearly $81B towards next-gen semiconductors, Bloomberg says

Global superpowers led by the U.S. and European Union, E.U., have spent nearly $81B towards the next generation of semiconductors, Mackenzie Hawkins, Ian King, Jillian Deutsch, Toshiaki Nohara, and Yuan Gao of Bloomberg reports. It’s the first wave of close to $380B designated by governments for companies such as Intel Corp. (INTC) and Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing (TSMC) to boost production of powerful microprocessors. Other companies in the space include Qualcomm (QCOM), NVIDIA (NVDA), Marvel (MRVL), Texas Instruments (TXN), Micron (MU), and Microchip (MCHP).
