Piper Sandler raised the firm’s price target on UnitedHealth to $571 from $566 and keeps an Overweight rating on the shares following quarterly results. After a challenging 2023, UnitedHealth enters 2024 with restrained growth, balanced benefit design, deliberate care delivery and documentation, and attractive mix, the firm says. Piper blames Change for the headline MLR miss, and focus on underlying medical costs, which were consistent with forecast and under control.
