Nissan is planning to cut the cost of manufacturing its electric vehicles by 30% as the company works to counter the rising threat from Chinese rivals, Kana Inagaki of The Financial Times reports. In order to lower the manufacturing cost, the company is turning to new partnerships and manufacturing methods. The company also recently released a business plan on how it will finance the costs of new technology development and survive the transition to electric cars.
