BMO Capital raised the firm’s price target on Duke Energy to $101 from $100 and keeps an Outperform rating on the shares after meeting with its management last week. The discussions left the firm “incrementally positive” on Duke Energy investment story, including management’s outlook for an improvement in its credit metrics over the next 12-18 months, incremental capital investment opportunities associated with its Carolina’s Resource Plan and Indiana and Kentucky IRP refreshes, and robust load growth outlook through the end of the decade, the analyst tells investors in a research note.
