Despite reports indicating that Apple (AAPL) has selected Baidu (BIDU) to provide the AI technology for its upcoming iPhone 16 and other products in the mainland market this year, media sources in China are saying that no such deal has been made, AppleInsider’s William Gallagher reports. Apple and Baidu have not agreed on AI cooperation, says China Daily, which adds that reports that the companies have made a deal is media speculation.
